Drone Defense 2 Gamepasses

Optional Robux multipliers for wins and Keybugs — none of them replace unit tiers.

Gamepasses

Drone Defense 2 is free to play. Gamepasses are optional Robux products that multiply match payouts, not a pay-to-skip for Medium. Solver Games listed four sequel passes that keep showing up in player writeups: +4 Batteries (99 Robux), 1.5x XP (79), 1.5x Keybugs (99), and VIP (199) with match multipliers plus lobby teleports and sprint. Treat those numbers as lobby prices. If the in-game store disagrees after the 28 August 2026 stamp, the store wins.

Do not buy original Drone Defense passes and expect them to apply here. The first game sold Double Keybugs, Faster Summon, Double XP, Extra Batteries (+2), seasonal candy, and extra storage on place 18410505618. Different place, different economy. See original Drone Defense.

What each sequel pass actually multiplies

+4 Batteries. Batteries only drop on wins (plus the B3TT3R code). The pass adds four extra Batteries when a match pays. It does nothing on a loss. If you cannot clear Easy cleanly, you are buying a multiplier on zero. Farm wins first with maps and upgrade tiers.

1.5x XP. XP feeds lobby titles at 3 / 10 / 25 / 50 / 100 and the Level Road Nori line. It does not place drones. It does not stop leaks. Buy it when you are already finishing matches and you care about titles, not when Medium is deleting the base.

1.5x Keybugs. Keybugs already pay for finishing a round, including a loss. The multiplier applies to match Keybugs, not to promo codes. SECRET_01 and Release still pay the flat amounts on the codes hub. VIP stacks a smaller Keybug multiplier on matches (about 1.2x in current writeups). Codes never get that bump.

VIP (199). Convenience pass: match multipliers (Batteries around 1.25x in current notes), lobby sprint / teleports. It does not add a sixth loadout slot. It does not unlock Scuba Tessa. It does not open Void on 5 September. If you only wanted faster walking to CODES!, Shift already sprints in the lobby — see controls.

Buy order if you spend anything

  1. Nothing, until Easy is a stomp and you have redeemed the live codes.
  2. +4 Batteries or 1.5x Keybugs, depending on which wallet is actually blocking you. Read currencies first.
  3. XP pass only if titles / Nori are the goal.
  4. VIP last, as a quality-of-life bundle, never as a Medium patch.

A 99 Robux pass cannot replace a beginner loadout. Empty slots still mean you must summon. Under-tiered units still leak. Perks still cost Keybugs at the vendor — perks.

What Robux cannot skip

  • Unit tiers. The official description is literal.
  • Oil. In-match only. No pass prints Oil into the lobby.
  • Summer Shells. Those come from codes (5K_COMMUNITY, 10K_GROUP) and the event loop. See Summer Event.
  • Quest badges (Doll, V, Nori, Ocean Diver). You still talk to NPCs.
  • The Void Mode window listed for Saturday 5 September 2026. Prep is Hard clears and a three-slot bar, not a gamepass.

Co-op on 20-player servers does not share passes. Your multiplier is yours. A friend with VIP does not mint extra Batteries onto your win screen.

How to avoid the wrong shop

Open the sequel place 138884751515999, not a “Drone Defense” Google thumbnail. If the store still shows Faster Summon or candy-cane carryover text, you are in the original. Discord (discord.gg/dronedefense) covers both titles; ask which place ID before you spend.

Prices move. We would rather under-promise than paste a dead 79 Robux tag. Recheck the lobby after events, then this page. Gamepasses are a convenience tax on an account that already plays correctly — never the first purchase on a brand-new Worker drone.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for codes, tiers, maps, and the Summer Event.

Do Drone Defense 1 gamepasses work in the sequel?

No. Different place ID and a different store. Buy only what the Drone Defense 2 lobby lists.

Does 1.5x Keybugs multiply codes?

No. Codes pay a flat amount. The pass multiplies Keybugs earned from matches.

Should I buy VIP to beat Medium?

No. Upgrade tiers and an eco-first loadout beat Medium. VIP is walking speed and extra match payouts.

Does +4 Batteries pay on a loss?

No. Batteries are win-only. The pass adds four when a win already pays.
