Drone Defense 2 Loadout Planner (Three Slots)

Open a note. Draw three lines. That is the planner. Drone Defense 2 does not care about the six-unit screenshot in your gallery until those three lines are filled with owned, tiered drones.

Copy the role order from beginner loadouts. Copy letters from the drones tier list only after the names are on your roster.

Slot 1 — Eco

Question: which drone I own prints Oil if I upgrade it first?

Write that name. If you cannot answer, your next Keybugs go to an eco summon, not a legendary. Place this drone first every match. Spend the first E upgrades here. If you skip this slot, Medium is a coin flip.

Slot 2 — Hold

Question: which drone I own covers the longest path at a reasonable Oil cost?

Tessa-line if you have her. Otherwise your tankiest tagged unit. This is the drone the solo Medium video on Getting Started is actually about, even when the title talks difficulty. Place it second, on the path, not in a decorative corner.

Slot 3 — Backline

Question: which drone I own kills clumps or bosses once Oil exists?

Uzi-line, N / Overseer N, or a quest DPS you already tiered. Place it late. If Oil is starving, do not place it. Sell it if you placed it too early. A blank slot 3 on Easy is legal. A blank slot 3 on Hard is a problem you solve after slots 1 and 2 are S-tier for you.

Slot 4 — illegal for beginners

If you are still hunting New Drone / Experienced Drone badges, there is no slot 4. Extra placements starve eco. Extra placements in co-op are how 20-player servers leak. Unlock slot 4 when Easy is a stomp and Medium is boring.

Perk line

Under the three names, write one perk that supports the bar: starting Oil, extra eco, extra place cap. If your perk is a flex cosmetic or a boss-HP shave while Easy still leaks, sell the idea and buy the income perk. Sequel perks are not the original ability shop; if the vendor does not show the name, it is the wrong game.

Event override

During Summer, Scuba Tessa may occupy slot 3 only for a quest step. She does not steal slot 1. Ducky N does not steal slot 1. Void week does not steal slot 1. Eco is not seasonal.

Co-op paste

Before ready, paste:

eco: [name] | hold: [name] | backline: [name]

If two people pasted the same DPS, someone switches to eco or you leave. Online co-op is a tool only when roles do not collide.

After the match

If you leaked, the planner failed — usually slot 1 under-tiered or slot 3 too early. Upgrade the name on the line that failed. Do not add a fourth line. Then run the resource checklist so the next session has a wallet target.
