Drone Defense 2 Summer Event: Ducky N and Scuba Tessa
Shells, market bundles, and the Ocean Diver questline without ignoring your Medium board.
The Roblox page for Drone Defense 2 currently brands the experience [SUMMER!]. A SUMMER EVENT listing kicked off 22 August 2026. Two badges tell you what Solver Games actually wants you to do with it: Ocean Diver (complete Scuba Tessa’s questline) and Sea Shell Collector (buy every bundle from Ducky N’s Summer Market).
This guide is the event loop. Live codes that print Shells sit on the codes hub. Patch context sits on Summer 2026 notes. Do not sell your tier upgrades to finish a cosmetic badge on day one.
Currencies the event cares about
Shells are the summer purse. 5K_COMMUNITY is 500 Shells and 10K_GROUP is 300. That 800-Shell head start is why the codes exist during the event window. After the codes, you earn more through the event’s own match and lobby hooks — treat those as the farm, not random Easy clears, unless the event UI says Easy pays Shells.
Oil, Keybugs, and Batteries still run in the background. You still need a functioning defence to play the event maps. A market bundle you cannot place is a badge progress bar, not a win.
Ducky N’s Summer Market
Ducky N is the seasonal shopkeeper. Sea Shell Collector requires every bundle. That is a completionist badge, not a power spike. Buy in this order:
- Bundles that contain a drone, perk ticket, or Keybug item you will actually use on Medium.
- Bundles that are unique (you cannot get the unit elsewhere).
- Pure cosmetics last, unless you are one purchase from the badge and already have a stable board.
If a bundle is Robux-only, skip it until the rest of the market is done. The badge can wait for a later sale; Medium cannot.
Scuba Tessa’s questline
Ocean Diver is a questline badge, same family as Doll (10 quests), V (5), and Nori (8). Expect a chain: talk, play specified modes, collect event items, return. Log the steps in a note so you do not repeat a match that does not increment the quest.
Tessa is also a core roster name outside the event. Do not assume Scuba Tessa replaces your lane holder. Event units are often sidegrades with a skin and a quest hook. Check the drone roster before you rebuild the entire loadout around a snorkel.
How to play the event without falling behind
Split sessions:
- Board session — Easy/Medium with your real defence. Farm Keybugs and Batteries. Upgrade tiers.
- Event session — market purchases, Scuba Tessa steps, Shell farm as the UI indicates.
- Secret session — keypad 1987, radio dial, pumpkin box. Those badges are not summer-gated; do not burn Shells hunting them. See secrets.
Online co-op helps on event maps if your party agrees to finish the quest objective instead of racing leaks. Call the objective in chat before ready-up.
After 5 September
The next dated Roblox event is VOID MODE on 5 September 2026. Summer cosmetics may remain, convert, or vanish. Spend leftover Shells before that date if the UI warns they will expire. Keep a screenshot of owned bundles for the badge in case the market UI shifts.
When the event ends, this page stays as a historical loop. New seasonal currencies will get their own update note rather than overwriting Shells. Until then, buy smart, quest Scuba Tessa, and keep your maps ladder moving in the same week.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for codes, tiers, maps, and the Summer Event.
Do I need every Ducky N bundle to play well?
No. Sea Shell Collector is a completion badge. Buy power bundles first, cosmetics last.
How do I start Scuba Tessa's questline?
Find Scuba Tessa in the summer lobby and accept the chain. Track Ocean Diver in your badge list so you know which step is live.
Are Shells the same as Keybugs?
No. Shells are the summer market currency. Keybugs summon and buy perks year-round. Codes can grant both.
Will the Summer Event overlap Void Mode?
Summer listed 22 August 2026; Void Mode lists 5 September. Spend Shells before a conversion warning. Prep Void on the updates page, not with event cosmetics.
