Drone Defense 2 Tier List Hub

Role ranks for the 15-drone sequel — not a copy of the original 50-unit list.

Tier List Hub

A tier list for Drone Defense 2 has to throw out most original-game muscle memory. The sequel advertises 15 drones with unique abilities, not the 50-plus collection the first title turned into a gacha encyclopedia. If a YouTube graphic still ranks Bubble V, Shockwave J, and Powered Railgun Uzi as if they were automatic sequel drops, it is ranking the wrong game.

This hub explains the rules. The actual letters live on the drones tier list. The “I just installed this” boards live on beginner loadouts. Pair both with upgrade tiers because a letter grade on a tier-1 unit is fanfiction.

How we rank

We rank roles, then names:

  • Eco — does this drone print Oil fast enough to place the rest of the board?
  • Hold — can it cover the longest path segment without leaking early waves?
  • Backline / splash — does it clean clumps and bosses once Oil exists?
  • Flex / secret — quest, event, or hard-mode toys that should not open a beginner bar.

S-tier means “builds a winning Medium board when tiered.” D-tier means “trophy or trap on a new account.” We do not publish fake DPS numbers. Solver Games has not shipped a public spreadsheet, and we will not invent one.

Confirmed roster names (from the Roblox tags, badges, and current coverage) include Uzi, N, V, J, Cyn, Tesscyn, Cynessa, Tessa, Alice, Beau, Doll, Nori, Lizzy, plus event faces Ducky N and Scuba Tessa. Coverage also mentions Overseer N and Zombie Cyn as deployable identities in the sequel’s marketing. The drone roster is the ownership checklist; this hub is the priority checklist.

What a good list is not

It is not a Robux shop order. VIP does not change letters. It is not a codes spend order either — codes buy the chance to own a unit, then you still have to tier it. It is not a summer cosmetic ranking. Sea Shell Collector is a badge, not a lane.

If two drones occupy the same role, keep the one you have already tiered. Switching names every patch is how Keybugs disappear.

Read this before the letters

  1. Can you clear Easy with two drones you own? If no, you do not need S-tier. You need Getting Started.
  2. Are those two drones upgraded? If no, open upgrade tiers.
  3. Then read beginner loadouts and copy the role pattern, not the exact names if you do not own them.
  4. Then read drones to see what to summon toward.

Online co-op does not let you skip eco because “the carry has Zombie Cyn.” If the carry leaves, you still leak. Bring a role.

After a patch

The 28 August 2026 update and the 5 September Void event can move a single name without rewriting the role list. Check updates and then this hub’s children. We would rather be a week slow than publish a stolen original-game graphic with “2” slapped on the title.

Use the loadout planner to lock three slots (eco, hold, backline) before you summon again. That is the entire point of a tier list in a 15-unit game.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for codes, tiers, maps, and the Summer Event.

Why isn't the original Drone Defense list copied here?

The sequel has 15 drones and perks, not the old 50-unit ability shop. Ranking the first game's names would mislead new accounts.

Should I sell a tiered rare for an un-tiered legendary?

Almost never. Tiers beat rarity until the legendary is upgraded and you have a place for it.

Where do event drones sit?

Flex until they prove they hold a lane on Medium. Ducky N and Scuba Tessa are summer faces first, meta second.

How often will these ranks change?

When a patch or Void event retunes a role, we update the drones page. The role framework on this hub should stay.
