Drone Defense 2 Void Mode and The Abyss
Dated event, keycard doors, and how the sequel's Void differs from the original grind.
Roblox lists a VOID MODE event for Drone Defense 2 on Saturday 5 September 2026, 1:00 PM, with the line “The Abyss awaits you.” That is the only hard date we will print. Everything else on this page is badge text, door names, and a warning not to import original-game Void cheese.

What the badges actually say
The Abyss — You conquered every mode, entered the restricted area, found the Voided one, obtained the key of the abyss, and defeated the one at the bottom. Fan documentation noted the badge as not yet available while the level already sat behind the Void Keycard door.
Keeper of the Abyss — Find and talk to The Void Tinkerer after opening the Eldritch Key door in the Supply Bunker. This is an NPC/explore badge, not the full clear.
If you cannot open a door, you are missing a key from the standard ladder (Easy → Medium → Hard), not a Robux pack.
What original-game players will get wrong
In original Drone Defense, people farmed Void and even lost on purpose for solver shards to buy secret units. A creator even called that “intended.” Do not assume the sequel copied the payout. Until you see Keybugs, Batteries, or a new shard type credit after a Void attempt, treat losses as losses. Batteries still want wins in the sequel’s documented economy.
Original Void also sat behind beating Easy/Medium/Hard and clicking an Absolute Solver near event portals. The sequel’s keycard language is different. Walk the Supply Bunker. Read the door. Do not click random solver props from muscle memory and then claim the mode is bugged.
Prep before 5 September
- Own Experienced Drone and Skilled Drone (Medium and Hard any map).
- Tier your eco + hold + backline. Void is a filter, not a tutorial.
- Finish or freeze Summer Shells if they expire.
- Bring perks that help survive, not flex cosmetics.
- If you co-op, pre-stack a 20-player server with people who will place eco. Void pubs will be a circus the first weekend.
After the event fires
We will add payouts, wave count, and boss names after they exist in the client. We will not invent “five waves, Chainsaw N costs 500 Oil” from the original game’s Void table. If Solver Games reuses that structure, it will show up in Discord’s update log — the server advertises a full history — and then here.
If the 5 September strip is only a teaser and the door was already enterable, this page still holds: keys, badges, no imported cheese. Check the updates hub the morning of the event before you wipe a loadout.
Void is optional content. Your codes and Medium bar will still matter on 6 September. If the event strip slips a day, do not wipe a working Easy farm to sit in a locked hallway. Recheck the updates hub that morning, then queue the highest mode you can actually close.
